Product Description: An inert MK2 Practice Grenade with Tube, presented in excellent overall condition and housed in its original M41 fiber container. The container is clearly dated 5-25-44, as shown, providing desirable period context. The grenade retains much of its original blue practice paint, with minor areas of age-related corrosion consistent with long-term storage. This Inert MK2 Practice Grenade with Tube is complete with an M10A3 fuze, bearing EFM Lot No. 1-77. An exceptionally well-preserved example, offering strong visual appeal and historical interest as a display piece.
Unloaded, practice, or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar ordnance items that have been rendered inert through BATF‑approved cuts or drilling—ensuring they cannot function as components of destructive devices—are not classified as NFA weapons. This example fully meets those compliance requirements and is offered strictly within the United States. NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
Historical Description: The U.S. MK2 Grenade, commonly known as the “pineapple” grenade, was the standard American fragmentation grenade of World War II and the early Cold War period. Cast in segmented iron to aid fragmentation, it was designed for anti-personnel use and equipped with a timed fuse. Widely issued to U.S. and Allied forces, the MK2 became one of the most recognizable infantry weapons of the 20th century, valued for its reliability and rugged construction.
