Product Description: The Panzerfaust 100 gross (“large”) was the fourth and final variant of the Panzerfaust series to be produced in quantity during the closing phase of the Second World War. Completed in September 1944 and reaching broader distribution by November of that year, the model represented the most advanced iteration of Germany’s disposable infantry anti-tank launcher. The “100” designation referred to its nominal effective range of 100 meters, achieved through an increased propellant charge within its 6 cm diameter tube. Weighing approximately 6 kilograms (13 pounds), the weapon was capable of penetrating up to 220 mm of armor, making it highly effective against contemporary Allied tanks. Owing to its comparatively brief production before the war’s end, surviving examples remain scarce.
The present launcher and rocket set is rendered totally inert in accordance with current BATF standards governing ordnance and cannot function as a destructive device. Not available for export.
This example has been refurbished, having been repainted and re-stenciled, with a reproduced instructional label applied to the warhead. The head is missing its original post with fins, however, it still fits snugly within the launch tube for display. The piece exhibits dents and dings consistent with handling and age, along with areas of paint wear, contributing to its authentic character.
Overall, the set presents as an impressive and highly displayable late-war anti-tank weapon, offering strong visual impact and historical resonance as one of Germany’s final mass-issued infantry armaments.
Unloaded, practice, or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar ordnance items that have been rendered inert through BATF‑approved cuts or drilling—ensuring they cannot function as components of destructive devices—are not classified as NFA weapons. This example fully meets those compliance requirements and is offered strictly within the United States and available to states that are legal. NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
Historical Description: The Panzerfaust 100 was a late-war development in Germany’s Panzerfaust series of disposable anti-tank weapons, introduced in 1944 as an improvement over earlier 30 and 60 meter variants. Designed to provide infantry with a compact yet highly effective means of engaging armored vehicles, the Panzerfaust 100 reflected Germany’s increasing emphasis on simple, economical, and mass-producible defensive weapons during the final phase of the Second World War.
The “100” designation referred to its nominal effective range of 100 meters, achieved through an increased propellant charge within the launch tube. Like its predecessors, the weapon employed a shaped-charge (HEAT) warhead capable of penetrating substantial armor plate independent of projectile velocity. The large-diameter hollow-charge warhead made the Panzerfaust 100 particularly dangerous to Allied tanks, even the heavier models encountered on both the Eastern and Western fronts.
Constructed as a single-use launcher, the Panzerfaust 100 consisted of a pre-loaded steel tube fitted with a simple firing mechanism and folding leaf sight, paired with an oversized warhead mounted on a wooden or metal shaft. Its straightforward design allowed for rapid training and distribution to regular Wehrmacht units, Volksgrenadier formations, and Volkssturm militia alike.
Today, surviving examples of the Original WWII German Panzerfaust 100 – Launcher & Rocket serve as significant artifacts of late-war infantry anti-armor doctrine, illustrating both the technological ingenuity and the increasingly defensive posture of German forces in 1944–1945.
