Product Description: A well-preserved example of the eTeNo EM/NCO’S Cufftitle worn by members of the Technische Nothilfe (TeNo), the technical emergency service of the Third Reich. Executed in machine-woven silver thread, the Technische Nothilfe script stands prominently against a deep blue wool backing, displaying strong contrast and crisp detailing throughout.
The weave remains fully intact, and the cufftitle retains its original length without trimming. Some light glue residue is visible on the reverse, likely from a period or post-war mounting, though it does not detract from the overall presentation. A fine and increasingly scarce piece of organizational insignia, this cufftitle is notable for its condition and completeness, making it a desirable acquisition for collectors of German uniform accoutrements and Third Reich auxiliary services.
Historical Description: The Technische Nothilfe (TeNo) was a paramilitary technical organization founded in 1919, originally as a civilian emergency response unit. During the Third Reich, it was absorbed into the Reich Ministry of the Interior, taking on more military and wartime infrastructure roles. TeNo personnel were responsible for repairing essential utilities, assisting in civil defense, and providing technical support to both military and industrial operations. The cufftitle was an essential uniform component, signifying membership in the organization. Due to the small size of TeNo compared to other paramilitary units, authentic TeNo cufftitles are considered rare and highly sought after by collectors.
