Product Description: This rare original Dagger & Sword Catalogue for Eickhorn products is a really interesting historical object, as well as being a useful source of information. It’s an original WWII era weapon catalogue, from the prestigious weapons manufacturing company Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. It’s in the form of a typical German four ring binder, that measures 180 mm x 219 mm, and was intended for shops that sold weapons. The binder is covered with red cloth, and was made for Eickhorn, with their logo on the cover and spine; the cover is emblazoned with the wording “Eickhorn Kundendienst” (Eickhorn customer service). The binder contains information divided into sections, with beautiful original illustrations, with some in full color. These pages list Eickhorn’s selection of swords, daggers, and bayonets, and also includes a price list for these weapons, for special designs, and for repair jobs. The sections in this catalogue represent several Second War organisations: Heer (Army), Luftwaffe (Air Force), Marine (Navy), Arbeitsdienst (Labour Service), Polizei u. Justiz (Police and Justice), Feuerwehr (Firefighters), Forst u. Jagd (Forestry and Hunting), Zoll und Bahnschutz (Customs and Railway Security), Parteiform. (= Parteiformationen, Party Formations, includes SA, SS, NSKK, HJ), and Verschiedene Damaszierungen (Miscellaneous Damascenings, includes Administrators, Diplomats, Red Cross, NSFK, Reich Air Protection, and TeNo). This rare original Dagger & Sword Catalogue for Eickhorn appears to be complete, and is in excellent condition, with minor scuffing and some minor damage from rust and moisture. It’s a great resource, and a relic of one of the finest edged weapons manufacturers of the Third Reich.
