Product Description: An exceptional NSRKB Member Breast and Cap Eagle Set, comprising two finely struck aluminum insignia of outstanding quality and preservation. The breast eagle is manufactured by Wilhelm Deumer of Lüdenscheid, bearing the maker’s code “3” to the reverse. It features the original round wire pin and catch assembly, both intact and functional, with sharp detailing to the eagle’s plumage and the NSRKB emblem shows minor paint wear. The surfaces remain bright with minimal age toning, placing this piece in excellent condition.

The accompanying cap eagle, produced by F. W. Assmann & Söhne of Lüdenscheid and marked “17” on the reverse, is likewise struck in aluminum and displays superb craftsmanship. All three original attachment prongs remain present and undisturbed. With its crisp definition and untouched finish, this insignia also rates as excellent. Together, these two authentic examples form a highly desirable matched set of NSRKB insignia, representing the superior manufacturing standards of two of Germany’s most respected wartime makers.

Historical Description: The Nationalsozialistischer Reichskriegerbund (NSRKB), or National Socialist Reich Warriors’ League, was established in 1938 as the official veterans’ organization of the Third Reich. It replaced the earlier Kyffhäuserbund and was intended to unify all German war veterans under National Socialist ideology. Operating under strict Party control, the NSRKB emphasized loyalty to Adolf Hitler and sought to merge traditional military camaraderie with the political and racial doctrines of National Socialism. Members wore distinct uniforms and insignia featuring the Kyffhäuser monument and swastika, symbolizing both Germany’s military heritage and its alignment with the Nazi state.

Beyond serving as a social organization for veterans, the NSRKB functioned as a propaganda instrument, promoting militarism, nationalism, and support for the regime’s expansionist policies. Its activities included ceremonial events, parades, and youth education programs designed to instill martial values. The organization continued until the collapse of Nazi Germany in 1945, after which it was disbanded and banned by the Allied authorities as part of the denazification process.
