The reverse side is equipped with a protective black oilcloth backing, ensuring durability. This insignia represents the ranks of Marine-HJ Scharführer and DJ-Jungzugführer. It remains in excellent condition, with minimal signs of wear, making it a desirable piece for collectors.

Historical Description: The 1938 pattern revised sleeve rank insignia was part of the Nazi youth uniform standardization introduced to emphasize the hierarchical structure within the Hitlerjugend (HJ) and Deutsches Jungvolk (DJ). The insignia denotes the rank of Scharführer for the Marine-HJ and Jungzugführer for the DJ. These ranks were responsible for leading small groups of youth in various activities, especially within the marine and youth divisions. The dual pips and navy wool base signify their leadership role, while the oilcloth backing ensures the insignia’s longevity.
