Product Description: This Hitler Youth Armband is a very nice example of this popular type. It’s a textbook piece in all aspects. The diamond-shaped Hitlerjugend swastika emblem is Bevo machine woven, with a black swastika on a white background. This emblem is factory machine stitched to the body of the armband with straight stitching. The armband itself is also Bevo machine woven, with a white central stripe. The colors on this one are strong, with no fading, and only minimal age toning to the white fibers. The short ends of the armband are factory machine sewn together in the back with a typical “French seam.” The long edges show a couple of very small areas with a few loose threads, suggesting this may have been worn on a uniform at one time. There is no RZM tag. This Hitler Youth armband is complete and sound, and displays great. The condition rates as excellent plus.

Some Nazi armbands were worn by all members of large organizations and were made by the millions. Others were intended for use at a specific time and place and were unique. Many types were made in very limited numbers. Some bore metal insignia or special identifiers that indicated the wearer’s rank, unit affiliation, or nationality.
