The centrally aligned dual bars reflect proper officer rank configuration, with precise BeVo weave and sharp definition. Light handling wear only; an exceptional Excellent+ set, highly representative of regulation officer dress insignia and ideal for advanced Wehrmacht collections.
Historical Description: WWII German collar tabs (Kragenspiegel) were key uniform insignia used by the Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, and Waffen-SS to denote branch, rank, and unit affiliation. Typically worn in pairs on tunic collars, their designs varied by service—Heer used colored Litzen, Luftwaffe featured gulls or oak leaves, and the SS used distinctive symbols like runes and skulls, with one tab often showing unit and the other rank. Officers’ tabs were often finely embroidered with silver bullion, while wartime shortages later led to simpler, subdued versions. Foreign volunteers in German service had unique tab designs incorporating national emblems. Today, original collar tabs are highly collectible, especially SS variants, though reproductions are common, making authentication vital.
