Product Description:  A desirable NSDAP Armband – RZM Tag – BeVo, representing a less commonly encountered variant distinguished by its BeVo machine-woven construction. Formed from thin red fabric, the armband features a boldly executed black swastika within a white roundel, woven directly into the textile, giving the design a pronounced clarity and depth characteristic of this technique.

The ends are sewn together at the reverse, and the interior reveals the swastika in reverse—an expected and telling feature of the BeVo weaving process. The piece retains its original RZM tag, marked with maker code A4/260, further supporting its authenticity and period manufacture.

Condition is excellent overall, with light, even wear consistent with age and use. There is visible toning and some discoloration throughout, along with a few notable dark spots present on both obverse and reverse. Despite these minor imperfections, the armband remains a well-preserved and highly collectible example.

Armbands were worn on military and civilian uniforms and also on civilian clothes, from suit jackets to work clothing. They were used to denote membership in organizations, to indicate a specific role or function of the bearer, and as insignia of rank. Many organizations would change the design of their armbands over time, which added to the variety produced. These were manufactured in countless variations, ranging from simple printed bands to elaborately hand-embroidered pieces of the highest quality. Some Nazi armbands were worn by all members of large organizations and were made by the millions. Others were intended for use at a specific time and place and were unique. Many types were made in very limited numbers. Some bore metal insignia or special identifiers that indicated the wearer’s rank, unit affiliation, or nationality. Armbands were sometimes but not always marked with ink stamps by the issuing authorities.
