Product Description: A historically significant Dutch NSB Wolfsangel Pin, measuring approximately 2.5 cm, and retaining its original construction features. The front displays light corrosion consistent with age, while the reverse preserves a fully functional pin and clasp, both securely soldered in place. The piece exhibits honest wear yet remains structurally sound, offering a representative example of period political insignia.

Noted for its rarity and compact presentation, this Dutch NSB Wolfsangel Pin provides a tangible artifact of occupied-era material culture, suitable for scholarly study or museum-level contextual display.

Historical Description: The Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging (NSB), founded in 1931 by Anton Mussert, was the primary Dutch fascist and collaborationist movement before and during the German occupation in the Second World War. Initially advocating nationalism and authoritarian reform, the NSB evolved by the mid-1930s into a party increasingly aligned with German National Socialism, adopting racial ideology and anti-democratic policies. Although it achieved brief electoral success in 1935, it remained widely disliked among the Dutch population. After Germany invaded the Netherlands in 1940, the NSB became the only legal political party, gaining administrative influence despite continued public hostility.

Under occupation, the NSB actively cooperated with German authorities, participating in political repression, assisting in the persecution and deportation of Dutch Jews, and promoting Dutch enlistment in German military formations such as the Waffen-SS. As the war turned against Germany, the NSB’s power rapidly dissipated, collapsing entirely with the liberation in 1944–45. Postwar, the organization was banned, Mussert was executed for treason, and thousands of members faced punishment or social exclusion. Today, the NSB is remembered as a cautionary example of extremist collaboration and a stark betrayal of Dutch democratic values.
